I can't believe I didn't know how to use this simple and effective tool till now. It's great. Blogs and Wikis are already familiar to me but the Del.icio.us thing has eluded me till now.
Now if I can only get to understand GoogleDocs...I am having more trouble learning about this tool than I had learning about the others. Today I was able to create a page of my own and upload some files to it. It cannot be that hard and I can see it has the potential to be a really useful tool for collaborative work. I can see the death of the Flash drive coming too - why keep a Flash drive if you can access all the files you need on the web?? Unless you are going to a remote location where you cannot access the Internet, have big security issues, or want to supply files to students in one convenient package in case they don't have the Internet....
I started this blog so I would have a place to post my thoughts about adult learning. As well as teaching, I work as a TROPIC observer - Teachers Reflecting on Practice in Contexts - a peer observation system for giving Teachers feedback about the flow of a lesson and the microskills used for communication and behaviour management. E-learning and m-learning interest me though I am not very experienced in this area.

Hi Susan, I didn't get to finish the Web 2.0 program online due to internet issues at home, there is always some sort of glitch of the technical type for me. Crista noted similar difficulties to you in being able to add to the documents / spreadsheets at first, and we are both struggling with getting the buttons / links entries for del.icio.us. Having said that I certainly agree in how easy this will all become for us once we get them all set up, as long as it replaces strategies we use, not add onto. Goodbye to the thumb drive and relying on My Documents storage space on work laptops when you take them off the network etc will be wonderful!! Has been great sharing this experience with you Susie Q! Hope we can continue to do so!
